Property Management

How do I apply for an apartment?

Applications may be...

  1. personally picked up at the Central Office,
  2. mailed to out of town applicants, or
  3. the Application may be printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. 

Completed applications are accepted personally at the Central Office at 303 Rice Street, New Boston, Texas from 8-12 and 1-5 Monday-Friday, may be placed in the "Drop Box" near the front door for acceptance on the next business day, or may be mailed to the Central Office for acceptance upon receipt.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS NEEDED for all persons in the household to begin the application screening.

  • Birth Certificates (all individuals)
  • Social Security Cards (all individuals)
  • Driver's License, state or other legal identification card (all adults)
  • Proof of Income (all individuals)
  • Personal References and Past Landlord References (all adults)
  • Other documents as requested

Verifications of documentation will be conducted at the initial interview.  Information provided will be verified to determine suitability and final eligibility. 

Approved applicants will be placed on a Community–wide Waiting List for both public housing and RD/S8/515 programs.  All qualified applicants will be offered an apartment in accordance with the Tenant Selection and Assignment Plan approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development www.hud.gov, Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation www.aahcnet.org and the New Boston Property Management Board of Commissioners. 

Applicant screening and offers of rental units will be made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin. 

All properties of the New Boston Property Management are regularly patrolled for criminal activities by certified law enforcement officers and certified drug detection canines.  Violators are prosecuted and lose all benefits from this housing program.
